What is the real Nexus Market link?
There is no permanent single address and nothing on clearnet. Nexus runs several onion nodes that all reach the same market. Copy a verified one from the foot of any page here and confirm it on the login screen.
Which coins can I use on Nexus?
Bitcoin and Monero. Use Monero for anything you want kept private, because Bitcoin lands on a permanent public ledger. Nexus treats Monero as the first coin.
How do I know the site is really Nexus?
Compare the onion on the login screen against your address bar. Nexus prints it in the anti-phishing image and the header, and a clone cannot serve the correct one in both while sending you elsewhere. If they differ, close the tab.
Do I keep my account if Nexus changes address?
Yes. The different onions are just doors into the same market. Your account, balance and vendor history are identical whichever one you use.
What is multisig escrow in plain terms?
Your payment sits in an address that needs two of three keys to release, held by you, the vendor and the market. No single party can take it alone, which is what makes buying from a stranger workable.
A Nexus link will not load, what now?
Usually a Tor circuit or a brief flood, not the market being down. Request a new circuit and retry, or switch to another verified link. They all reach the same place.
Is this handbook the market?
No. It is a guide. It sells nothing, stores nothing about you, and is not Nexus. It exists to get you onto the real market safely and explain how it works.
Terms worth knowing
- Onion address
- A fifty-six character Tor address ending in .onion. Copy it, never type it, and check it on the login screen.
- Multisig escrow
- A 2 of 3 escrow address held by buyer, vendor and market. Two keys are needed to release, so no one moves the coin alone.
- Vendor history
- The record of a seller completed orders and reviews. On Nexus it runs deep and survives address changes.
- Finalize-early
- Releasing payment before goods arrive. It removes your dispute path. Avoid it with vendors you do not know.
- Monero (XMR)
- A coin that hides sender, receiver and amount by default. The private choice for paying on Nexus.
- PGP two-factor
- A login step that uses your key so a stolen password alone cannot open the account. Worth turning on.
